Stephen "tWitch" Boss dies by suicide at 40

The dancing DJ and sidekick on The Ellen Show, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, died at 40 after committing suicide.

Allison Holker Boss, the TV star's wife, described him as "the backbone of our family, the best husband and father."

The US talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres featured Boss from 2014 until it ended earlier this year.

DeGeneres tweeted on Wednesday that the news had left her "heartbroken."

She described the American freestyle hip-hop dancer and actor as "pure love and light".
