Students in JNU Fight Over Serving Non-veg Food

Two student groups in JNU, namely ABVP and the left-wing, started fighting over the serving of non-vegetarian food in a hostel.

The incident took place on Sunday evening, the day Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a havan for Ram Navami.

The leftwing student group alleged that ABVP was not allowing non-veg food to be cooked.

At least 15 students suffered injuries and were taken to hospital.

The administration of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has informed the police about the clash.

The left-wing student group called a meeting against ABVP’s imposition on their “right to food”.
