Despite public affirmations by CEO Linda Yaccarino and Elon Musk about Twitter's irreplaceability, the block seems to imply otherwise.
This is not the first time Twitter has taken actions against a competing platform.
It previously restricted tweets linking to Substack newsletters, though this restriction was later removed.
