Unseen Pictures of Kalpana Chawla Are Turned Into NFT

NFT Auction platform GuardianLink has launched an exclusive NFT collection featuring unseen pictures of Kalpana Chawla, the first Indian-American astronaut who went to space.

The collection includes 250 NFTs -- 25 copies of each of the 10 images. The photographs will also have personalised quotes by Kalpana Chawla.

Kalpana was an Indian-born American astronaut and an engineer who first flew on Space Shuttle Columbia in 1997 as a mission specialist and primary robotic arm operator.

Her second flight was on STS-107, the final flight of Space Shuttle Columbia in 2003.

Kalpana Chawla had died in the Space Shuttle Columbia in 2003 when the spacecraft disintegrated during its re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere.

19 years after the death of Indian-born American astronaut Kalpana Chawla, her husband has released 10 of her unseen images to be sold as NFTs.
