Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai Were two legendary Indian physicists

Vikram  Sarabhai  was that Indian astronomer who initiated space research and helped develop nuclear power in India 

Due to his space research he is internationally regarded as the Father of the Indian Space Program.

He was honoured with Padma Bhushan in 1966 and the Padma Vibhushan (posthumously) in 1972.

He came from the famous Sarabhai family from India who were major industrialists committed to the Indian independence movement.

Vikram Sarabhai married the classical dancer Mrinalini in 1942. The couple had two children named Mallika and Kartikeya 

On the urging of scientist Vikram Sarabhai recognising the need in space research INCOSPAR was established by Jawaharlal Nehru .

INCOSPAR grew and became ISRO in 1969.ISRO has the world's largest constellation of remote-sensing satellites.

Sarabhai died at the age of 52 due to cardiac arrest in Thiruvananthapuram His body was cremated in Ahmedabad.
