Zero Survivors Found in China Plane Crash; 132 Were Onboard

China Eastern Airlines’ Boeing 737 aircraft carrying 132 passengers on board crashed on Monday in the southern Guangxi province.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China later confirmed the crash on its website and said 132 people included 123 passengers and nine crew members.

Nearly 18 hours later, no survivors have been found in the wreckage of the China Eastern plane.

The plane crashed in a forested mountainous area, marking China’s worst air disaster in a decade.

Monday's plane crash shattered China's airlines record of over 100 million continuous hours of safe flight as of February 19.

Writing on Twitter, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief at the crash of a passenger flight in China's Guangxi.
