The Chinese investment holding company, which has a stake in messaging clients WeChat and Hike messenger, has become the most valuable company in Asia. Thanks to some strategic moves, smart investments and China’s current boom in consumer spending, Tencent moved past companies like Samsung, China Mobile, and Alibaba to not only become the most valuable company in Asia but also one of the top 10 in the world by market capitalization.
