Instant messaging service WeChat has updated its Windows desktop app with English language support and has introduced new features for group chats and even recall messages.
WeChat launched its Windows desktop client back in January but supported only Chinese, which was squarely aimed at bringing users in its home market onboard.
The updated app features a screenshot tool that allows users to capture an image and send it to a contact using controls within the app.
Further, users will be able to individually call out members of a group chat by mentioning their name in the message, and can delete messages using the Message Recall feature.
It isn’t clear when the Mac app of WeChat will get the update, even though it was launched much earlier than the Windows client in November last year.
