WhatsApp Voice Calling Goes Live For All Android Users

WhatsApp’s voice calling feature has been in the pipeline for a really long time now, and while a few lucky users got a taste of what the feature looked like recently, most of us were left high and dry.

Now however, with the company rolling out version 2.12.5 of the app on the Google Play Store, all Android users will have access to the voice calling facilities.
Updating the app does the trick, after which users will be greeted with a new tabbed interface – calling, chats and contacts.
Making calls is simple, users can either get to the ‘call’ tab and hit the ‘call’ button on the top to access their contact list, or can even hit the ‘call’ button that appears at the top of a chat to call that particular contact.
While the feature has finally made its way to Android devices, it is expected that voice calling on WhatsApp will reach iOS devices in a few weeks.
