That social media is being used for false propaganda is no secret. That you can spread a lot of lies and rumors is no secret either. However, you can’t always get away with it. Here’s a classic example. On Sunday, Wikileaks said:

Modi supporters have been claiming that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange saw Modi as an “incorruptible” politician. A picture circulating on the Internet said (see below) “America is afraid of Modi because America knows that Modi is not corrupt.”– Julian Assange.

In retaliation, the BJP said that it doesn’t need any endorsement from Assange.
