Xiaomi is celebrating its 5th anniversary on April 8, and to celebrate the event the company’s Indian arm has made a host of exciting announcements.

Firstly, Xiaomi devices will no longer be restricted to being sold on Flipkart’s online store. The company has tied up with Snapdeal and Amazon.in to make its devices available to even more customers.
The move is in line with Xiaomi’s recent partnership with The MobileStore to bring its products to offline stores. All in all, customers will now be able to buy Xiaomi’s products on Flipkart, Amazon.in, Snapdeal, through The MobileStore and Airtel India’s retail stores.
Under the banner of #MiFanFest, the company is also rolling out a host of offers on its products, which will start at 12 noon on April 8, and last until midnight.
Xiaomi announced that its Mi4 smartphone will be sold at a discount of Rs 2,000, meaning the 16GB variant will sell for Rs 17,999 and the 64GB variant at Rs 21,999. It’s no surprise that Xiaomi has gone after the pricing of the OnePlus One in India, even undercutting the 16GB variant’s cost.
Apart from the Mi4, the company is also offering a free Mi PowerBank and Mi In-Ear Headphones for free with the purchase of a Redmi 2 4G. If all this sounds like the perfect recipe to make Xiaomi’s next flash sale a success, it should be noted that there isn’t going to be one.
The Mi4, Redmi 2 (3G & 4G) and the MiPad will be available across all the above mentioned platforms without any registration.
