Soon after treating the 64GB variant of its flagship Mi4 smartphone to a price cut, Xiaomi has now dropped the price of the 16GB variant to Rs 14,999.
That translates to a massive Rs 5,000 off on the Mi4 (16GB), making it one of the best deals in the sub-Rs 20,000 smartphone segment in India.
At that price, the Mi4 runs the risk of cannibalising sales of its younger sibling the Mi4i, and despite being nearly a year old, the device does offer best in class specs.
Xiaomi has been on a roll with dropping prices of its devices, with the aggressive cuts to the Mi4’s price indicating that the company is gearing up for the launch of the Mi5.
The Mi4 might cost Rs 2,000 more than the Mi4i, but for that you’ll get a more premium aluminum and glass construction and Qualcomm’s more powerful Snapdragon 801 processor.
