The tech major, which recently courted controversy, for scanning all of its users’ email accounts on behalf of the US government, has now disabled an email forwarding feature, which would allow users to automatically redirect incoming emails to another account, creating a hard time to people who want to leave the service.
Users who have already set up forwarding in the past, have been unaffected, however, people trying to turn on the feature now are having trouble. A message on Yahoo’s website says that the “feature is under development.”
