YouTube Shorts to Block Links Amid Spam Concerns

  • YouTube will ban placement of links in YouTube Shorts from August 31 due to spam.
  • Links in comments, descriptions, and social icons on desktop banners will also be removed.
  • From August 23, new link placements will be introduced on channel pages near the subscribe button.
