YuppTV Raises $50 Million From Emerald Media to Expand Content

YuppTV, an over-the-top Netflix-like video service that provides Indian regional content across the globe has raised $50 million in a Series B round of funding led by Emerald Media, a Pan-Asian platform established by global investment firm KKR.

The investment will help YuppTV to expand its global footprint, develop original content, and grow its paid subscriber base.

Founded in 2006 by Uday Reddy, the Atlanta-headquartered company reaches more than 400 million households across the world. YuppTV offers 250+ South Asian TV channels, 5000+ movies and 100+ TV shows to worldwide audiences, with a focus on the USA, UK, Middle East, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean.
