Gmail (and Google Apps email) opens up huge opportunities for startups to build interesting apps and today, Zoho has announced contextual widgets that integrates Zoho projects with Gmail, bringing more ‘actionable’ sense to email.
The Gmail contextual gadget available for Google Apps users helps you to assign the tasks, share an idea via a forum and create projects in Zoho Projects. All this is done right within your email without leaving your Gmail inbox (details).
Essentially, you can transform any email to an actionable component – i.e. add it as a task in Zoho projects to a forum post.
Brilliant way to increase adoption of Zoho product suite! Most importantly, Zoho building hacks on top of their (significantly huge) competition product to increase adoption is a demonstration of company’s confidence in their products.
