Restaurant and nightlife guide Zomato has launched its catering sections for Bangalore, and Mumbai. The service was already live for Delhi & NCR.
The catering section offers users to select from a range of options among various listed caterers in a city. The Catering section on the portal will include detailed description of cuisines, occasions, types of live counters, estimated price range, and the number of guests they can cater to.
The Zomato catering service listing for Delhi and NCR was launched in March this year. The company says that it plans similar rollouts for other metro cities in India soon.
In July this year Zomato expanded its international presence with the launch of five new cities across three countries. The new additions include South Africa (Cape Town), the United Kingdom (Manchester, Birmingham), and the New Zealand market (Auckland, Wellington).
In India, Zomato also added to its list of Indian cities with the launch of its Guwahati section.
Last month local search company Justdial announced its foray into online food delivery service, a move that is set to diversify its offerings while it serves a latent need. The service is available across 14 cities in India which includes Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Navi Mumbai, Noida, Thane, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Howrah, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Pune.
