Info Edge (India) Limited has informed the Exchange that the Company proposes to invest an additional amount of Rs. 135 million (i.e. $3 million) in Zomato, the online food guide and restaurant directory website. The Company earlier invested Rs. 47 million ($1mn) in the first round.
Zomato rebranded from Foodiebay and recently announced the launch of event section on the site. Zomato is also focusing on growing its mobile presence (the company also demoed their app at the recently concluded Appnomy Conference).
InfoEdge’s other investment inclueds 99labels, Nogle Technologies, MyDala, MeritNation and PolicyBazaar.
