A thorough examination of what work is now and what it should be.

The Art Of Work: The Premise

The majority of us have no idea what we were “programmed” to do for a living. It appears that we breeze through all the crucial, decisive moments without giving them enough thought.

And one day we awaken and think to ourselves,

What do I enjoy doing the most in life?

The journey that defines your life will depend on the response to this question.

Stage 2: Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship used to mean working with a mentor for several years and learning the skills from them. Today, the situation is completely different, and the individual is left to find his or her own calling.

You may discover it at various stages of your life, and they can assist you in discovering your calling by providing advice at the appropriate time and place.

Stage 4: Discovery

The journey of discovery continues.

To find our calling, we must keep in mind that it may take longer than we anticipated. But that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. So, take the cues that life gives you and seize every opportunity as if it will never come again.

Stage 6: Legacy

At the end of the road, there is a prize that money cannot buy and a legacy that the world will never forget.

These perspectives on work and life are quite applicable to our daily lives.

If something is very familiar to you, you are very good at it, and other people recognize this in you, you have found your own calling.

The seven stages of your calling

Finding out what your calling is takes time. Usually, your entire life.

Your vocation is not a job. It encompasses your entire life. We look at seven stages to discovering your life’s work as a model for us.

Stage 7: Mastery

True mastery entails greatness and pushing past the boundaries of what others believe is possible or even sensible.

It is relatively easier to master something you enjoy doing. It is also simple to practice when we enjoy the activity.

Stage 1: Awareness

Awareness is the perception that more is possible. Our task is to recognize that there is more to life than meets the eye, and there are clear hints along the way to discovering our true selves.

It is not an easy journey. We must be willing to think outside the box, see the big picture, and start acting.

Stage 3: Practice

Practice is important in our journey because it teaches us what we are and are not capable of doing.

You will discover what you want to do in life by practicing. If you fail at something, it means you were not designed for that activity.

Preparation of your journey

We are blaming ourselves for not having a clear calling in mind when we were born.

Is the calling merely an unexpected natural fact?

Your calling is not something you “just know.” Along the way, you must pay attention to hints and learn what your life can teach you. Practice leads to awareness.

Action time

Opportunities to learn and grow are available if we’re willing to look in the right places and humbly accept what we find.

Discovering your calling is not a revelation, but a series of intentional decisions.

Stage 5: Profession

A profession is viewed as the culmination of various attempts that we achieve after years of hard work. It can be regarded as a form of mastery.

True mastery is about greatness, about pushing the boundaries of what others believe is possible or even sensible.
