Apple Safari to Block Google Analytics From Collecting Data; What it means for marketers?

The silver lining is this update is only coming to the desktop version of Safari, which holds less that half the market share of mobile Safari.

Apple’s Safari browser will reportedly block Google Analytics, DoubleClick, Amazon, and Optimizely from tracking users and collecting data about their web browsing activity.

Safari holds 9.4% of desktop browser market share worldwide and 24.4% of the mobile browser market. This will eventually lead to tough targeting of ads for Apple users.
