Twitter takes down Pakistan govt’s account in India

The Twitter account of the Pakistan Government was withheld in India on Saturday with the social media company saying that the move came in response to a legal demand by the Centre.

Nations like Turkey, Russia and Pakistan made up the top four along with India in issuing such demands to Twitter.

Insta Reels, YouTube videos won’t be considered for admission under ECA: Delhi University

Delhi University officials said performances in videos uploaded on social media websites like YouTube and Instagram will not count as public performances for consideration for admission under the extracurricular activities quota.

As per the brochure, for the common seat allocation system, YouTube, Facebook/Instagram Reels, vlogs and other content on non-peer reviewed video streaming sites will not be considered for taking admission.

Pfizer pays almost $120 million for app that detects COVID from a cough

Pharma giant Pfizer has shelled out nearly US$120 million to acquire a small Australian company claiming to have developed a smartphone app that can accurately diagnose COVID-19 by analyzing the sound of a cough.

Initially the system was trained to diagnose pneumonia, but by 2019 the researchers had shown the technology could effectively distinguish asthma, croup and bronchiolitis.
