It’s not yet apparent what improvements version 2.0.36 brings about because Apple hasn’t released update notes for the current firmware.
Open the Find My app on your iPhone, select the Items tab from the bottom navigation bar, select your AirTag from the list of items, and then tap on the name of your AirTag to check the firmware version.
