Now, you need not pay custom duty on electronic goods below Rs. 50,000

With a new revision by the the Ministry of Commerce and Industry,  the limit of the value of goods above which custom duty on all items was charged at a flat rate of 41.492% as charged has been raised from 2,000 to Rs 50,000. This makes it easier to import elecronic gadgets for personal use.
