Reliance Industries may soon offer EV charging station at its petrol pumps. These fuel stations, mostly located on highways, will also offer retail petrol, diesel, CNG, and LNG apart from charging points for EVs.
Reliance has partnered with British Petroleum to set up fuel stations in India recently. Since BP owns the UK’s largest EV charging company, RIL aims at tapping the expertise in India too.
Reliance expects that Electric Vehicles will have a fast adoption, thanks to Govt’s push. The company, however, also feels that oil will power a major share of vehicles till the year 2040.
