Govt launching ‘Uber for Tractors’ helping farmers rent costly equipments

The Govt. plans to introduce an Uber-like app which will connect farmers with 38,000 custom hiring centers. These CHCs rent out latest but costly equipment at an affordable rate.

Farmers will need to register on the app and search for the machinery they need, once found and booked, the required machine will arrive at their doorstep. This will ensure an optimized usage of available resources, both technical and human.

Like Uber, the ‘Uber for Tractors’ will have a review and rating system too. The agriculture ministry has run successful demos in multiple states in the country.
