PollenEight – Seed Fund Launched for Mobile Startups

PollenEight is a seed/incubator fund aimed specifically at promoting innovation in the mobile space.

The fund is launched by Hyderabad based PurpleTalk, a mobile development services firm that works on iPhone/Android based apps.

The incubation period will focus on:

  • Exposure and guidance for the selected company founders
  • Re?nement of the idea and direction for each company
  • Actual launch of an early version product [details]

As per the fund, the companies will be selected based on eight fundamental factors: 1) idea 2) team size and composition 3) potential user base 4) technological feasibility 5) level of innovation 6) profiles and work background of founders 7) relevance to mobile computing platforms, and 8 ) revenue / IP potential of the idea.

It’s always good to have more companies coming up with their incubation fund, especially in mobile app space. Having said that, given that the team is into mobile app development services (and build their own apps), there are surely questions on *safety* of one’s idea.

If you have any questions for PollenEight team, please leave them in the comment section.
