At NextBigWhat.com, we cover a great mix of technology, startups, Digital news and one of our endeavors has always been to dig deeper into trends and curate the best of it.
And we are glad to announce our monthly themes. Under this theme, our attempt will be to explore a content topic (theme) from different angles and importantly, bring a 360 degree perspective to it – right from tactical viewpoint (how to) to how investors evaluate certain industrie etc.
And we are glad to announce our partnership with Accel Partners for this initiative. As part of this partnership, we will invite selected entrepreneurs and have an informal discussion on industry topics, along with Accel team and relevant CEOs from their portfolio companies.
The theme for January month (and will continue till Feb 10th) is Software as a Service (SaaS). Enough has been covered on SaaS, but we certainly believe that when it comes to Indian context, things are a bit more challenging and different (for example: How do you define SaaS?). We would like to explore the various nuances of building a successful SaaS company out of India over the next few weeks.
We are launching a couple of initiatives under this theme.
#1: Accel Partners: Ask Accel Anything
You get an opportunity to ask Accel partners anything with respect to the topic and we will collate the answers and publish them as posts. You can start posting questions on NextBigWhat.com/forum (tag: ask-accel) or simply use the form here to ask a question to Accel Partners.
#2: Introducing UnCafe
Every 15 days, we will conduct an UnCafe meetup where selected entrepreneurs will come together to discuss/share insights under the context of the topic.
Like the way we started UnPluggd, we will keep these meetings closed-door and to-the-point (max 2 hrs) and will also have Accel team members and portfolio companies share their perspective*.
*: Please note that this isn’t a *meet and get funded* event. The discussions will purely focus on industry topics and we will try to bring 360 degree perspective to the same and in all probability, won’t even touch upon the topic of funding.
