Mahindra prefers to work on EVs rather than hybrids

While the competitors like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Volvo and Honda feel that hybrid cars should be the obvious choice in India’s road to zero-emission vehicles, Mahindra has made its stance clear and has chosen to go with electric cars.

It is also rumoured that Mahindra is busy developing an affordable electric solution for its new partner, Ford. While elsewhere, Ford may be work on hybrid cars, for India its focus is only on EVs.

Even though the government has offered some tax-benefits on hybrid cars, Mahindra is not ready to change the lanes as yet but wants to keep the options open.
