Seems like Google maps has truly understood the meaning of Anti-National in India!
Now if you hit the words “anti national” or “Sedition” on Google maps, not that any body will seek a direction for it, but, Google will show you the directions to Jawaharlal Nehru University with the address- New Mehrauli Road, Near Munirka, New Delhi, Delhi 110067.
In the recent past JNU was linked to several tags such as “anti-national” and “sedition” after JNU Students’ Union President Kanhaiya Kumar and several students such as Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattachary came into the eye of the storm and faced massive backlash from the government and the Delhi Police over an event at the campus on February 9 where allegedly anti-national slogans were raised.
University however has not yet observed the gaffe but, will definitely be upset with this bizarre blunder by the world’s largest search engine.
